Fringe Gets Dropped Down Under
Australian Television has dropped the US series, "Fringe", after only five episodes being aired.  The series has had disappointing ratings, despite the heavy handed advertising.

Channel Nine reported that the series only pulled in 671,000 viewers with its last episode aired, coming in fourth behind Seven's Criminal Minds with 1.47m, Spicks and Specks with 1.23m and House's 885,000.

This isn't the first of the American mad televsion shows to be dumped in Australian TV.  90210 was let go last month, with a promise to pick the show back up in the summer.

There is a possibility the show may return to the channel, but according to tv.com, Nine says that "fast tracked episodes are complicated by the US election."
