It is said that Spider-Man will appear in a separate Marvel film to relaunch the franchise before the release of his stand alone film. Andrew Garfield will not be returning as the title role, and the film will most likely take place in the high school years, according to reports.
The as of yet untitled film is slated for a July 28, 2017 release.
