Director Scott Derrickson has left the "Doctor Strange 2" production. He cites "creative differences" as the reason.
"Marvel and I have mutually agreed to part ways on Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness due to creative differences. I am thankful for our collaboration and will remain on as EP," said Derrickson via Twitter.
The original film grossed over $677 million at the box office.
Benedict Cumberbatch will return as the lead character for the film, which, for now, still has a release date set for May 7, 2021.
