Eddie Murphy is reportedly in talks to play Parliament Funkadelic leader George Clinton. This project would be part of Murphy's three-picture deal with Amazon.
Murphy would also produce the film alongside John Davis and Catherine Davis. After acquiring the rights, they can line up writers for the project.
George Clinton is a renowned musician who is considered to be the Godfather of Funk music. The film would follow Clinton's journey from childhood through his groundbreaking career.
Murphy is a busy man, with "Beverly Hills Cop 4" coming out this summer, as well as production starting soon on the Netflix comedy "You People", which will co-star Jonah Hill.
