Adam Scott is reported to have signed on to join the cast of Sony Pictures' "Madame Web". He will star alongside Dakota Johnson.
"Madame Web" is based on the comic and tells the story of an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis who needs to be connected to a life support system in order to stay alive. And while she's never physically fought villains, there is a thought that in the film, she could possibly use her psychic powers to her advantage, or even possibly morph into something entirely different. However, there is no word on any of this just yet.
Scott just earned an Emmy Award nomination for his role in "Severance", and is known for his many roles in comedic and dramatic films.
