BAFTA Film Awards 2025 Longlists: Emilia Perez & Conclave Lead Nominees

The BAFTA Film Awards, which will take place on February 16, 2025, have revealed their 2025 longlists for 25 categories, with Jacques Audiard's Emilia Perez and Edward Berger's Conclave leading the pack. Emilia Perez dominates with 15 mentions, including Best Film, Best Director, Adapted Screenplay, and Film Not In The English Language, with Karla Sofía Gascón longlisted for Leading Actress and Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldaña, and Adriana Paz in Supporting roles, matching records set by All Quiet on the Western Front and others. Conclave follows closely with 14 mentions, including Best Film, Leading Actor for Ralph Fiennes, and Supporting nods for Isabella Rossellini and Stanley Tucci. Trailing them are The Substance, The Brutalist, and A Complete Unknown (11 nods each), while Wicked and Dune: Part Two secured 10 mentions. Other notable entries include Anora (9 nods), Gladiator II (9 technical mentions and a Supporting Actor nod for Denzel Washington), and Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light (3 nods, including Best Director). Surprises include Dev Patel in Leading Actor (Monkey Man) and Ellen Kuras in Director (Lee), while notable snubs saw Nickel Boys and Challengers largely overlooked. Nomination voting runs January 3-10 and winner voting January 22-February 11.
