Mike Enslin, a cynical author known for debunking supernatural phenomena, checks into the infamous Room 1408 at New York's Dolphin Hotel in search of inspiration for his next book. Despite repeated warnings from hotel manager Gerald Olin, Mike insists on spending the night, convinced the stories surrounding the room are nothing more than exaggerated myths.
But once the door closes, Mike finds himself trapped in a waking nightmare where time fractures, reality collapses, and personal trauma resurfaces with terrifying clarity. As the room manipulates his senses and sanity, Mike begins a desperate fight to escape a place that refuses to let him go.
