The much anticipated Black Mirror episode where Miley Cyrus plays pop star Ashley O. has hit, and fans can't get enough. It's not so much that they were bowled over by her acting, it was her performance of a new song that caught everyone's attention.
In the episode, Cyrus' character performs "On A Roll", a transformed version of Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like a Hole". The song's lyrics have been changed to reflect a self-anthem of sorts. The big question is - did Trent Reznor see this? And what does he think about it?
Well, the performer gave his blessing when contacted by the show to re-work his lyrics and has even taken to social media on numerous occasions to comment and promote the work, which also includes a new version of the Nine Inch Nails song "Right Where It Belongs". In a tweet about the song, he included #goddamnitthisisactuallyprettygoodandidontknowwhoiamanymore
An "Ashley O." EP has been released that includes these songs and fans can head over to that link and purchase it.
