Top Gun Heading Back To Movie Theaters

Top Gun will be celebrating its 35 anniversary, and fans who feel the need for speed can now celebrate the occasion with the limited theatrical release that will run on "Top Gun Day" on May 13. The event will be available at over 150 Dolby Cinemas at AMC across the country.

The iconic 1986 film has been remastered and will be presented with Dolby Vision® for ultra-vivid picture quality and with state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos® audio for an exceptionally immersive experience.

For those who can't get to the theatre, you can watch the film at home, which is available now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray. They boast over four hours of bonus content, including a featurette that explores the film's legacy and enduring popularity through interviews with Tom Cruise, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and members of the cast of the highly anticipated new film Top Gun: Maverick (Please note: Availability of bonus content varies by digital retailer).

The film went on to earn over $350 million at the box office and became a huge pop culture touchstone that helped define a generation.
