Greenland Sequel Put into Bankruptcy Protection

The sequel to Gerard Butler's "Greenland", titled "Greenland: Migration" has been put into bankruptcy protection. The move was made by STX ahead of their acquisition by the Najafi Companies.

"Although pre-production of this sequel is going well, we determined that it was necessary for FSO Jones to seek bankruptcy relief to protect the value of that entity for all of our stakeholders while we continue to work toward closing our strategic alternatives for this company," said STX in a statement.

"Greenland" didn't have a theatrical release because of the pandemic, but did still manage to gross $52 million around the globe. The sequel's rights were acquired for over $75 million.
