Disney/Lucasfilm's "Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny" will be heading to the Cannes Film Festival this year. The film will be making its world premiere at the celebrated annual event in May.
The much-anticipated film's theatrical release will be on June 30 in the U.S. and brings back Harrison Ford in his iconic lead role.
The Indiana Jones film franchise consists of a series that follows the adventures of the titular character, Indiana Jones, a professor of archaeology and adventurer who travels the world in search of rare artifacts and lost treasures.
The franchise began with the release of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981, which was followed by three sequels: "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984), "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1989), and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" (2008).
