Ian McKellen Hospitalized After Fall During Performance

Sir Ian McKellen was admitted to the hospital following a fall during a theatrical performance. The 85-year-old X-Men star fell during a fight scene in Henry IV at London's Noël Coward theatre, prompting an early closure of the show. It remains unclear if he sustained any serious injuries from the fall, but he was promptly taken to the hospital.

According to the report, Ian "lost his footing and fell" off the front of the stage while preparing for a battle scene. Staff rushed to his aid after he cried out following the fall. Audience members were evacuated, and the evening's performance was canceled.

Despite the incident, Ian McKellen was reported to be "fine" and conscious, seeking assistance after the fall. A spokesperson for the theater assured that he was expected to recover swiftly and completely, stating he was "in good spirits" following the accident.

The play, which started its 12-week run in April, is nearing its conclusion. Ian McKellen's upcoming commitments include a voice role in the film Schadenfreude, currently in post-production as listed on IMDb.
