CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards: 2025 Honorees Announced

CinemaCon®, the world's largest theatrical convention organized by Cinema United, has officially announced the honorees for the 2025 Big Screen Achievement Awards. This highly anticipated event is set to take place on April 3 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The awards recognize the exceptional talent that contributes to the magic of cinema, and this year's lineup of honorees is nothing short of stellar.

Honorees for the 2025 awards include Channing Tatum, who will receive the Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film award; Ana de Armas as Action Star of the Year; Lindsay Lohan with the Vanguard Award; and comedy legends Cheech & Chong for the Career Achievement in Comedy award. David Jonsson will be honored with the Next Generation Award, Madeleine McGraw as the Rising Star of 2025, and Ben Wang as the Star of Tomorrow. They join previously announced honoree Glen Powell, who will be recognized as Star of the Year.

The awards, hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier, will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, serving as the grand finale of CinemaCon. The event is presented by The Coca-Cola Company, the official sponsor of CinemaCon.

Channing Tatum, known for his versatility across multiple genres, will soon be seen in Derek Cianfrance's Roofman, opening October 3 via Paramount Pictures. His career highlights include standout performances in Magic Mike, The Lost City, 21 Jump Street, The Vow, and Deadpool & Wolverine. Beyond acting, Tatum has made his mark as a producer and director, co-directing Dog and producing successful films through his company, Free Association.

Ana de Armas, the Action Star of the Year, stars in Lionsgate's Ballerina, set to release on June 6. With roles in Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out, and No Time to Die, de Armas has solidified her status as a Hollywood powerhouse. Her critically acclaimed portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Blonde earned her Oscar, SAG, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominations. Other notable credits include Ghosted, The Gray Man, and War Dogs.

Lindsay Lohan will make a grand return to theaters with Walt Disney Studios' Freakier Friday, premiering on August 8. Reprising her beloved role alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Lohan continues to showcase her talent, which first captured audiences' hearts in The Parent Trap and Mean Girls.

Comedy icons Cheech & Chong will return to the big screen with Cheech & Chong's Last Movie, set to release on April 25, with a special limited engagement on April 20. The duo has remained a defining force in comedy, spanning five decades of success from Up in Smoke to their upcoming film exploring their friendship, fame, and impact on pop culture.

David Jonsson will soon be seen in Lionsgate's The Long Walk, a dystopian thriller directed by Francis Lawrence. Jonsson recently starred in Alien: Romulus and the critically acclaimed Rye Lane. His upcoming projects include Wasteman and an untitled film by Frank Ocean.

Madeleine McGraw, named Rising Star of 2025, will reprise her role as Gwen in Universal Pictures' Black Phone 2, set for release on October 17. McGraw, who began acting at the age of four, gained recognition with her debut in American Sniper and has since appeared in Cars 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Toy Story 4.

Ben Wang, the Star of Tomorrow, headlines Sony Pictures' Karate Kid: Legends, premiering on May 30. Wang has gained recognition for roles in American Born Chinese and Mean Girls (2024). His upcoming projects include Lionsgate's The Long Walk and the comedy feature I'll Take The Hamm.

CinemaCon, the premier showcase of theatrical exhibitions, attracts over six thousand professionals from the film industry, including exhibitors, distributors, and concessionaires. Organized in collaboration with the International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA) and the National Association of Concessionaires (NAC), the convention is an unparalleled celebration of the moviegoing experience. The full event will take place from March 31–April 3, 2025.
