Blumhouse is conjuring a chilling celebration this spring, bringing horror favorites "M3GAN", "Annabelle", and "MA" back to theaters for one night only, across three consecutive weeks. These fan-favorite films will headline the second annual Halfway to Halloween Film Festival, which is expanding nationwide for the first time and promising more thrills than ever.
This year's festival is part of Blumhouse's 15th anniversary and kicks off on Friday, April 30, with "M3GAN" returning to the big screen. But this isn't just a rewatch-it's a cutting-edge theatrical experience. Partnering with Meta, Blumhouse is debuting the Movie Mate™ second-screen feature in theaters, allowing audiences to interact with the M3GAN chatbot during the film. Fans will unlock exclusive behind-the-scenes content, trivia, and surprises in real time, all through Instagram.
It's the perfect way to reconnect with the techno-terrifying doll ahead of "M3GAN 2.0", coming to theaters June 27 from Universal Pictures, Blumhouse, and Atomic Monster.
The festival continues with "Annabelle" on May 7 and "MA" on May 14, offering audiences a chance to revisit some of Blumhouse's most haunting characters. Each screening will feature sneak peeks, exclusive messages from directors and cast, and even surprise appearances in select cities.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 9, at 9 AM PT for the following films:
April 30: M3GAN
May 7: Annabelle
May 14: MA
Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse, said, "In our world, we always ask-why can't every day be Halloween? This festival brings us closer to that dream. I'm especially excited to go nationwide this year and to bring M3GAN fans a brand-new, in-theater experience with Meta."
Meta's Omar Zayat, Group Lead for Entertainment, added, "We're thrilled to collaborate with Universal and Blumhouse to bring Movie Mate™ to theaters. This marks the first time audiences can engage with a second-screen experience live in theaters, designed to get people back to the big screen."
Movie Mate™ is available exclusively to those watching "M3GAN" in theaters. To participate, moviegoers simply DM @M3GAN on Instagram to launch the experience. As part of the promotion, Fandango is offering a BOGO deal for the April 30 showing of "M3GAN" as part of their "Don't Go Alone" horror series.

Blumhouse is the powerhouse behind today's most iconic horror films. Since merging with James Wan's Atomic Monster in 2024, the combined studio has amassed nearly $9 billion at the global box office and produced nearly half of all horror content in the past decade.
Their massive library includes franchises like "The Conjuring", "Paranormal Activity", "The Purge", "The Exorcist", "M3GAN", "Five Nights at Freddy's", "The Nun", and "Halloween". Beyond horror, Blumhouse has helped bring to life cinematic landmarks like "Get Out", "Whiplash", and "BlacKkKlansman".
Blumhouse's reach extends into television and gaming, with acclaimed series such as "The Jinx" (HBO), "Worst Roommate Ever" (Netflix), and "The Bondsman" starring Kevin Bacon. Its first game, "Fear the Spotlight", earned rave reviews.
Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2024, Blumhouse continues to push boundaries with immersive fan events like Halloween Horror Nights, the Halfway to Halloween festival, and an upcoming reimagining of The Shining's Stanley Hotel exhibit.
