Amazon MGM Studios, in conjunction with FlickDirect, is giving South Florida movie fans the chance to see VERITY early at a free advance screening in Miami.
Colleen Hoover's bestselling psychological thriller comes to the big screen in VERITY, starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett. FlickDirect readers can claim complimentary passes to see the film early at a special Miami advance screening on Tuesday, September 29, before its nationwide theatrical release on October 2.
Dakota Johnson stars as Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who is given an unexpected opportunity when she is hired to complete the bestselling book series of renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway). Lowen relocates to the remote Crawford estate to begin working on the project, placing her inside the home Verity shares with her husband, Jeremy (Josh Hartnett).
While searching through Verity's work, Lowen discovers what appears to be a disturbing autobiographical manuscript containing chilling confessions. As she becomes increasingly entangled with the Crawford family, Lowen struggles to determine where fiction ends and reality begins, while questions of manipulation, attraction, ambition, and obsession complicate everything she thought she understood.
Michael Showalter directs VERITY from a screenplay by Nick Antosca. The film is adapted from Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel and produced by Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Showalter, Jordana Mollick, Anne Hathaway, and Hoover.
Alongside Hathaway, Johnson, and Hartnett, the cast includes Ismael Cruz Córdova and Brady Wagner. Amazon MGM Studios will release VERITY in theaters nationwide on October 2, 2026.
