Sony Pictures, in conjunction with FlickDirect, is giving Florida horror fans the chance to experience RESIDENT EVIL early at free advance screenings in Miami and Tampa.
From the mind of Zach Cregger, the filmmaker behind Weapons and Barbarian, comes a terrifying new reinvention of RESIDENT EVIL. FlickDirect readers can claim complimentary passes to special advance screenings in Miami and Tampa on Tuesday, September 15, three days before the film arrives exclusively in movie theaters.
Set within an all-new story, RESIDENT EVIL follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself trapped in an action-packed, nonstop race for survival as one fateful and horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
Cregger directs the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Shay Hatten, bringing his distinctive approach to horror to one of the genre's most recognizable franchises. The film stars Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser.
Robert Kulzer, Zach Cregger, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, Carter Swan, and Asad Qizilbash produce the film, with Oliver Berben, Victor Hadida, Richard Wright, and Robert Bernacchi serving as executive producers.
From Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film, in association with TriStar Pictures, RESIDENT EVIL opens exclusively in movie theaters on September 18, 2026.
