are we gonna recognize are we gonna have them do Charlie's Angels okay what is the Charlie's Angels thing it's like okay times it's time to get serious folks hi i'm allison with flick direct and we're here at comic-con 2018 and i'm talking with the cast members of impulse tell me about being on youtube premium youtube premium is really cool cuz they gave us a lot of freedom which i feel like on a young adult show you don't often get like we say the f-word a lot in our show which is very true to your life it's late so we got a lot of creative freedom yeah it was great and they're really coming up with some like high quality content and we're really just happy to be on the forefront of that i think we're gonna see a whole bunch more coming from this network and i think it's gonna be a forced to be recommended i tend to agree with you from what i've seen from this show i want to talk a little bit about the girls because it's a little true to my heart i have a daughter and a stepdaughter that are very similar in age so when I saw them in their relationship I'm like oh I know this scenario like they don't really get along talk a little bit about their interactions and and their chemistry yeah so what I think is so great is that when we initially meet them they're very different people and the circumstance of what's happening with Henry really causes their a relationship to grow and we get to see Jenna's true colors and she's gonna be that supportive rock for Henry and I think that there something about them that makes it very great is that they're very different and that's kind of what they need in each other yeah and they are inspired by each other in a way and look up to each other for certain personality traits and they want to be certain ways that the other is and they kind of lean on each other and form a nice that I'm so lucky to have with Maddie anywhere you realize it's nice when you like who you work with let's talk about Henry because she's discovering these powers that she has and all of the consequences that seem to come with it what was it like developing her from the very beginning like when I auditioned for Henry I really really enjoyed this is before all of the this stuff about assault was in the show really but what I really liked about Henry initially was her strength and like the physicality of her because she has this like wide stance and she walks like very heavy in the foot and it's like this powerful kind of thing like she doesn't give a [ __ ] about anything which I really really loved and it helped me get into character so much and then when Lauren the front came on and we decided to reshoot the assault scenes and make them more from her perspective and make it a bigger part of the story that was obviously a big challenge and so I met with therapist who specializes and meeting with victims of assault and I spoke to some people that I've known who have been assaulted and that was definitely really challenging to do yeah it was extremely extremely powerful scene absolutely it was it was I've never had that happen to me thank goodness but I feel like it was a genuine portrayal and and I think people who have had that happen will certainly resonate with with your portrayal of it quickly tell me what's happening next in the show you got enough something no we really don't know anything been so overwhelmingly positive and we're really grateful yeah we can't wait we hope something we'll see what happens well the story is terrific and I think the production value I think partially because of YouTube is really phenomenal so we're excited to see what comes next thank you guys so much for talking with us have a great day [Music]
