Synopsis of The Secret of My Success (1987)
Brantley Foster leaves his small-town life behind to chase his dream of making it big in New York City—only to discover that landing a job isn't as easy as he imagined. After a series of dead ends, he takes a low-level mailroom job at a major corporation, where ambition and creativity inspire him to secretly reinvent himself as an executive named “Carlton Whitfield.”
Balancing two identities, Brantley climbs the corporate ladder while juggling an unexpected romance and a boss who has no idea his new corporate rising star is actually the kid sorting mail downstairs. The Secret of My Success blends sharp '80s corporate satire with charm and energy, powered by a classic Michael J. Fox performance.
