"Wanted" creators are wasting no time getting a sequel in the works. According to Variety, Marc Platt's contract has been upped by 5 years, keeping him in tow through late 2012.
While most of the principal characters don't have a story that could really continue into a second film, the creative team would like to get James McAvoy back. They planned all along to make the film a franchise. "The writers are at work already, and those creative discussions are taking place," said Platt.
Platt has a number of projects in the works including a remake of the 1973 rock opera, "Jesus Christ Superstar" and a film adaptation of the sci-fi novel, "The Red Star", written by Christian Gossett.
