The Hobbit Coming To A Theater Near You?

Rumors are surfacing of a Lord Of The Rings prequel based on J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Hobbit" which precedes the events in the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy. A July 2007 date has been rumored to begin filming with a release in 2010. The story would focus on how Bilbo Baggins, uncle of Frodo Baggins came to possess the ring. Details of the filming, including whether or not Peter Jackson is attached are not yet known.
