According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. plans on re-releasing "The Dark Knight" in January, which also happens to be the height of the Academy Awards Voting Season.

"It's just a matter of bringing it back as a reminder for people," according to a source of the trades.

There are talks going on currently to have the film released in some IMAX locations, but whether or not the film will make it for a second round at regular theatres remains a mystery.
