Sarah Palin seems to have acquired yet another opponent when it comes to her views on wildlife.
Palin is open about her support for aerial hunting of wolves, which has been a thorn in the side of many animal rights groups. Recently, Ashley Judd appeared in an ad for the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, which is starting a campaign called "Eye on Palin". In the ad, Judd states, "It is time to stop Sarah Palin, and stop this senseless savagery."
Palin fought back against the ad, stating that the group is distorting the goal of Alaska's predator programs. She stated that "Alaskans depend on wildlife for food and cultural practices which can't be sustained when predators are allowed to decimate moose and caribou populations." Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times."
