Eagle Rock Entertainment Bring Rory Gallagher and From the Basement To DVD This March

Eagle Rock Entertainment Bring Rory Gallagher and From the Basement To DVD This March
Eagle Rock Entertainment will be releasing a new DVD titled "Rory Gallagher: Live In Cork".  The new DVD features the Irish Blues and Rock Guitarist during his performance in Ireland in 1987.

Admittedly, I had never heard of Gallagher before watching this DVD.  But I really enjoyed it and he put on an energizing and exciting performance throughout. The late guitarist was surely a talented and passionate performer who didn't disappoint.

The DVD, which was released  on March 17 (how appropriate!), is 78 minutes in length, and along with the concert performance, offers some extras such as photos, video, memorabilia of Rory Gallagher's home town, which are all compiled in the "Rough Guide To Rory's Cork".

Technical Aspects:
Format: Color, DVD-Video, Live, NTSC
Language: English
Region: All Regions
Aspect Ratio: 1.33:1

The performance features the following songs:
1. Continental Op
2. Tattoo'd Lady
3. Don't Start Me Talkin'
4. I Ain't No Saint
5. Follow Me
6. When My Baby She Left Me
7. Off The Handle
8. Out On The Western Plain
9. Wanted Blues
10. The Loop
11. Shadow Play
12. Messin' With The Kid
13. Loanshark Blues

On March 3, Eagle Rock Entertainment also released the DVD "From the Basement" which features various music artists filmed in an intimate setting at the Maida Vale Studio in London.  The DVD captures these artists at their best, just simply performing for you the viewer and not a studio audience. The setting allows for optimal appreciation of the performances that one couldn't possibly get in a large concert hall.

I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD.  While there were a couple of bands on here that I had never listened to before, there are so many that I love and it was awesome to be able to watch them all together on this collection.
