"Dexter", the hugely popular Showtime show, will be renewed for another season. This will be its sixth. The show continues to grow in popularity, with earning its second highest ratings ever Sunday night.  

The upcoming finale, which will air on December 12, is sure to bring in record breaking ratings. The last renewal for the show took place back in 2008, when the show was given 2 more seasons. Sources say that most likely won't be the case this time, as negotiations for the key talent will need to take place before the seventh season.
