There is no official word at all from anyone at Warner Bros. about the project, but screenwriter Whit Anderson had announced on Twitter last week that they were "not even thinking about casting yet. The script isn't even written!"
Only time will tell whether or not the Glee star will be the top pick to fill Buffy's shoes.
