According to Moviehole, a Dimension films contact said "The 'Scream' franchise will likely end here, at least for the moment". But fear not, the contact also added that there is a possibility in the future to have direct to DVD releases, like "American Pie" has done.
"Scream 4" hasn't fared too well at the box office. The film opened with $18.7 million, not even half of their $40 million budget.
