Liam Gallagher, former lead singer for the band Oasis, is making a film based on the 1973 memoir by Richard DiLello, "The Longest Cocktail Party". The Beatles film will follow their final days as a band.

According to Q Magazine, Gallagher would like to see Johnny Depp play the role of Derek Taylor, the Beatles' publicist at the time. He says that the script is done and that the part has Depp "written all over it man."

No word on whether or not Depp is considering the role.
