Following the popularity of Disney's/Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland", another fairytale classic will be receiving a "dark" makeover.

"The Little Mermaid" is set for a reboot in which Sirenetta (instead of Ariel) finds herself in a love triangle that will end with her either murdering the Prince or with her dissolving "in the water like the foam on a wave."

The new film will be titled "Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale", and will be released by Sony Pictures.
