The company planned to release the film for the Premium VOD price of $60.00. Quite high, but for people who pay upwards of $20 per person between a ticket and snacks, it could be worth it for people to stay home.
The VOD was going to be released three weeks after the theater release, which is what prompted the boycott. We shall see how long and often the boycott tactics will work.
