George Lucas says that after he is finished with "Red Tails", he will be retiring. Lucas has been involved with countless classic films like Star Wars and Indiana Jones, just to name a few.
Lucas said, "I'm retiring. I'm moving away from the business, from the company, from all this kind of stuff." Lucas seems to have had his fill of the biz after all the trouble he has had getting "Red Tails" off the ground. Twenty years into development, Lucas is surely tired. His disdain for others in the business was apparent when he spoke about how hard it was to get certain studio executives to look at the film. "Isn't this their job? Isn't their job at least to see movies? It's not like some Sundance kid coming in there and saying, 'I've got this little movie - would you see it?' If Steven Spielberg or I or James Cameron or Robert Zemeckis comes in there, and they say, 'We don't even want to bother to see it. . . "
"Red Tails" will be released January 20, 2012.
