John Hawkes, who recently starred in the Sundance acclaimed film, "The Surrogate", has signed in to star in "Switch". He will be costarring with Yasiin Bey.

The film will be a prequel to "Jackie Brown", the Quentin Tarantino film starring Pam Grier, Robert DeNiro and Samuel L. Jackson. Hawkes will be playing a younger version of DeNiro, and Bey will be playing the younger version of Jackson. The story will take place 15 years prior to the story in "Jackie Brown".

The film will begin production in May.
