Fans of the epic tale, "Treasure Island" have something to look forward to. It has been reported that
Warner Bros has retained Guy Ritchie (set to direct "Man From U.N.C.L.E.") to direct a new version
of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale. They also have Alex Harakis onboard to write the script.
Ritchie will produce the film with his partner Lionel Wigram (Sherlock Holmes) and Langley Park's
Kevin McCormick. It was Wigram who originally set up a stylized version of the classic novel, much
the way he did Sherlock Holmes, which Ritchie directed. He set it up before he and Ritchie became
partners. There have been many adaptations of Treasure Island, and it will be very interesting to see
what Ritchie & Co. do in this latest version.
