With Marvel's Avengers riding the crest of a wave at the box office at the moment and planned sequels for a whole host of characters from the Marvel Universe, Marvel studios are not resting upon their laurels. As it is being reported, another Avenger just may be getting his claws into a new franchise.

Latino Review is reporting that that character could well be the Black Panther. With speculation rife that the project is close to finishing development and a script written by Mark Bailey, there has been no official word from Marvel Studios or Disney on the rumor there has been no denial either.

It was only as long ago as January 2011 that there was talk of a Black Panther movie, then nothing came to fruition now it seems it just well might.
