For a while now there has been some speculation about when, if ever, a new Daredevil movie will be made. Well, when the ball just started rolling with news that apparently Fox want The Grey's Joe Carnahan to direct, it seem the ball has stopped.
With Fox only having until October to get Daredevil up and running before the rights return to Marvel Studios once again, things needed to start moving quickly. It had been thought Marvel would be open to extending the October deadline, so long as Fox returned the characters Galactus and the Silver Surfer to the parent studio. However, Deadline is reporting that sources in Fox say that such a trade will never take place, as they place the Fantastic Four franchise in higher regard than Daredevil, and naturally want to keep all the characters that go with the Fantastic Four at Fox, especially as Josh Trank is ready to direct the reboot.
The last time Daredevil was on the big screen was in 2003 when Ben Affleck played the super hero.
