There are strong whispers that Disney may be planning a reboot their cult classic movie "The Rocketeer". Vulture is reporting that although no definite decision has been made, the studio, under new boss Alan Horn, will soon be having meetings with various writers to see what ideas they could come up with.
The original 1991 movie starred Billy Campbell as a racing pilot who by chance found a prototype jetpack and became the 1930's superhero fighting Nazis along the way. Ironically, the movie was not a hit at the box office but has become a classic with its cult following.
In recent years, it's fair to say the mouse has relied heavily on it acquisitions like Marvel, The Muppets, and Pixar to fill its coffers, maybe now under the former Warner Bros. direction things are about to change.
