Zack Snyder, who has directed "300" and the upcoming "Man of Steel" film, will be involved in a "Star Wars" project for Lucasfilm. While the director has counted himself out for theupcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII", his project will parallel the next trilogy.
The film is said to be somewhat based on the 1954 film, "Seven Samurai", with a band of Jedi knights that will most likely protect colonists from bandits. It is said that the chronology of the film will be sometime after "Return of the Jedi".
The film won't begin shooting until after production begins on "Star Wars: Episode VII", which is scheduled to be in theaters in 2015.
