Petitions have shown up on Change.org asking for the removal of Affleck from this role, and some have even gone so far as to send a petition to the White House asking for President Obama to "denounce the selection of Ben Affleck". The petition has been removed, as it violates the site's policy.
The petition to Warner Bros. claims that Affleck "is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won't do the role justice" and said that his role in "Daredevil" is proof of his incapability for the role.
