Netflix has given the "ok" to Montauk, a supernatural drama series, which will be written and directed by filmmakers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer. There will be eight episodes at one hour a piece.
Cindy Holland, Netflix's VP Original Content, said, "Matt and Ross are emerging filmmakers with an unmistakable passion for genre and suspense. Their unique voice infuses this coming-of-age drama with supernatural thrills that will captivate our global audience."
The series will take place in the 1980s, and will be set in Montauk, Long Island. It will focus on the disappearance of a young boy, and the mysterious and top-secret circumstances surrounding the case.
