Jon Stewart, who has hosted The Daily Show sine 1999, had announced and official end date to his position.  Stewart will host his final show on August 6.

The announcement was given yesterday towards the end of his show,  and while he won't give any specifics on what he has in store for the farewell, he has said that he will be holding a contest to give a viewer a chance to attend the last taping.

Trevor Noah will be taking over the hosting duties of the show, with both Stewart's and Viacom's blessings.
