Dwayne Johnson has signed on to join the cast of Disney's upcoming film, "Jungle Cruise."
Johnson, who also stars as the lead voice in Disney's "Moana", is excited about the Jungle Cruise project, saying, "[Disney production president] Sean Bailey and Disney have been awesome partners and now the fun part begins ... We're starting to put in the work with Requa and Ficarra and our creative team. Fired up about this one. Here we go.".
The idea for a Jungle Cruise film has been in the works since 2004, but nothing ever got off the ground. This incarnation of the project is still in early development, with Johnson's schedule being quite busy with a new Baywatch film, as well as the video game film adaptation, Rampage, there is no word when production will begin.
