Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters was originally supposed to get a sequel made, but now, Paramount has decided that they may possibly be taking the project to the small screen. It would be a cable series through Paramount TV.
While Hansel & Gretel didn't perform well domestically (only earning $55 million), it did do better internationally, pulling in around $170 million.
This isn't the first time Paramount has decided to shelf the idea of a film sequel and change to TV instead; they also did the same thing with Jack Ryan.
