The estimates are in, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens has now taken the Sunday all-time record sales with between $60.2M-$61.1M.  This now brings the total opening box office sales at somewhere between $248.5M-$250.3M, a staggering amount of money. 

The film has broken Jurassic World's third day record of $57.2M and has now earned the title of top opening weekend of all-time at the domestic box office. It wasn't able to beat the Saturday records, with Jurassic World and The Avengers coming out ahead of The Force Awakens, which is in third place for that slot.
