Elizabeth Marvel (House Of Cards) will be joining the cast of Showtime's drama Homeland next season season in which she will be playing the role of President-Elect Elizabeth Keane.

In the upcoming season, which debuts in January 2017, the show will follow the events of the U.S. presidential election from Election Day to Inauguration Day.  Homeland tends to follow real life events in their storylines, such as the current Presidential election, in which Hillary Clinton could be elected.  Also, the character of Keane is a former New York Senator. 

The show will also make a comeback to the U.S. after the last two seasons being shot in South Africa and Berlin.
