The Dark Tower, the film adaptation of the Stephen King book series, has had its release date pushed back.
The original date was slated for February 2017, but now Columbia Pictures/MRC/Imagine has given July 28, 2017 as the release.
It is said that the new date will allow for more time for special effects as well as giving them the chance at a summer blockbuster.
The Dark Tower, which is set in a world where magic abounds, stars Idris Elba as gunslinger Roland Deschain, as well as Matthew McConaughey, who plays the Man in Black.
