
Kaling will executive produce alongside Matt Warburton, Richard Curtis, Jonathan Prince, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, and Howard Klein from 3 Arts.
The series will follow the film's main plot, following a group of friends whose lives come together during four weddings and a funeral, the settings changing with the seasons.
Kaling already has a home with Hulu, who airs "The Mindy Project".
The 1994 version of "Four Weddings and a Funeral" launched the career of Hugh Grant and also starred Andie MacDowell. The $3.7 million budgeted film grossed $246 million at the box office.
