HBO announced last month that they would be releasing a new project titled Mosaic, a murder-mystery series,  and now, the app has arrived for the iOs and tvOs platforms. The show will air in 2018 on HBO as a traditional series but the app allows for viewers to interact with the storyline.

The app allows a "choose your own adventure" type experience where you can make decisions for the characters, etc. The app is free.

Mosaic stars Sharon Stone, Garrett Hedlund, Beau Bridges and Paul Reubens, among others, and was created by Ed Solomon and Steven Soderbergh.

"I looked at this as sort of an open source format that other filmmakers can come in and push", said Soderbergh. "The outcome and the events of the story don't change based on your choices. It's merely what information do you have about the story based on what you've been following.' Some people like to just keep making choices and get to the end of a path, some people like to minesweep" jumping between separate characters in chronological order".

HBO's airing of Mosaic will debut on January 22, 2018 and will be a total of 6 hours long.
