Joss Whedon Steps Down from Batgirl Film
Joss Whedon has decided to leave "Batgirl" as director and writer, saying that story issues were to blame.

In a statement, Whedon said, "Batgirl is such an exciting project, and Warners/DC such collaborative and supportive partners, that it took me months to realize I really didn't have a story". He also went on to say,  "I'm grateful to Geoff and Toby and everyone who was so welcoming when I arrived, and so understanding when I… uh, is there a sexier word for ‘failed'?"

This now leaves the fate of the project up in the air or if it will still go forth.

Batgirl, who is Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon, was introduced to us in 1967 by DC Comics.
