Dick Miller, Legendary Character Actor, Dies at 90
Dick Miller, best known for his role as Murray Futterman in the "Gremlins" has died. He was 90 years old.

Miller was a prolific character actor, with over 60 years in the business. He began in the 1950s with his character Walter Paisley in "A Bucket of Blood", a role he would reprise throughout his career. His work included, just to name a few, the films  "The ‘Burbs", "Fame", "The Terminator", "Piranha", "Rock ‘n' Roll High School", "The Howling", and "Night of the Creeps".

Director Joe Dante, who used Miller in many of his films, took to Twitter to comment about the actor's passing, saying, "…We hit it off and every script thereafter I always looked for a role for Dick-not just because he was my friend but because I loved watching him act! But he leaves behind over 100 performances, a bio & a doc-not bad for a guy who hardly ever enjoyed a starring role."

Director Edgar Wright also paid homage to Miller on Twitter, saying, "RIP Dick Miller, surely the king of character actors. A friendly, funny face in Gremlins (1&2), Piranha, the original Little Shop Of Horrors, Not Of This Earth, After Hours & my personal beatnik fav, Walter Paisley in 'A Bucket Of Blood'. Any role of his was cult movie nirvana."

Miller is survived by his wife Lainie, daughter Barbara, and granddaughter, Autumn.
