AMC Will Reopen with Special Discount Ticket Pricing

AMC will begin opening their theatres on August 20 and to commemorate the event, as well as their centennial, they will be offering "movies in 2020 at 1920 prices" for opening day, costing only $0.15 a ticket.

"We are thrilled to once again open our doors to American moviegoers who are looking for an opportunity to get out of their houses and apartments and escape into the magic of the movies," Adam Aron, AMC's CEO.

The tickets will go back to regular pricing after opening day but they will be offering other discounts like $5 popcorn through October, as well as cheaper than usual tickets for films such as $5 prices for "Inception," "Black Panther," "Back to the Future", and "The Empire Strikes Back".

With their opening on August 20, the chain has also announced that they have implemented many new safety measures due to the coronavirus, such as masks, and lowering theatre capacity.
