"The Rocketeer" is returning to us, and Disney+ will be the home for the upcoming film. David Oyelowo may also star in the project, as well as producing alongside his wife, Jessica for their Yoruba Saxon Productions banner.
The original film was released in 1991 and starred Billy Campbell. It was based on the graphic novel by Dave Stevens and made approximately $47 million domestically.
The new plot will focus around a new Rocketeer - a retired Tuskegee airman.
